The Hired Man, arguably the finest new British musical of the last thirty years, acclaimed for its epic, nostalgic, funny book and rousing, romantic, award-winning score, is now available on tour in the UK for the very first time.

Set in rural Cumbria in the early years of the twentieth century, The Hired Man tells the timeless, moving story of a young married couple and their struggle to carve a living from the land, just as the traditional rhythms of English country life are being interrupted by the gathering storm of war in Europe – haunting, thrilling, stirring stuff.

From its base in the East Midlands, New Perspectives has earned a strong reputation in recent years for top quality small/middle scale touring theatre, with our work consistently praised by critics and audiences alike for its energy, imagination and theatrical flair. | info
