Laura graduated from the University of Surrey with a First Class BMus (Hons) degree in Music. She has recently released a concept album of her new musical, The In-Between, featuring performances by leading West End stars Sabrina Aloueche, Julie Atherton, Daniel Boys, Cassandra Compton, Hadley Fraser, Alexia Khadime, Dianne Pilkington, Lauren Samuels and Liam Tamne. The Concept Album is available to download now from iTunes. The In-Between has since been featured on BBC Radio 2's Elaine Paige on Sunday and performed at West End Live 2012 in Trafalgar Square. 'Someone You'd Be Proud Of', a song from the show, was also shortlisted for the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize. Laura's first musical, Faerytale, was showcased by the Guildford School of Acting at the Electric Theatre. She has also written the music for Bill Kenwright's The Haunting, which originally starred Paul Nicholas and is currently on its third UK tour. As an arranger and orchestrator, Laura has been Musical Associate for The Night of 1000 Voices (2010, 2012), Kerry Ellis and Brian May's Anthems: The Concert and The Wonderful World of Captain Beaky, with Vanessa Redgrave, Joanna Lumley and Hugh Bonneville; all at the Royal Albert Hall. She was also arranger/orchestrator for the Cantabile Christmas Cracker at the Prince of Wales Theatre. www.lauratisdall.com

I am an actor and singer who has pursued a passion for writing musicals for five years. My first venture was a re-invention of the great tradition of Variety/Vaudeville with an astonishing ensemble of acrobats, jugglers, dancers, actors and storytellers. This spectacular show was called "A Date With Destiny" and was produced at The Oval House Theatre in London.. Since then I have written four more conventional musicals and am about to throw my hat into the ring. I have always written songs and by combining this with my lifelong love of the theatre I am in a position to create both words and music. It would be wonderful to work with producers, directors, designers, MDs and actors to realise my vision of muscular modern musicals which can delight but which have teeth.
